We’re back playing music
Hello everyone, we’re now playing music again. What a joy to be able to share our songs with a live audience again. Hard to deliver those 3 part harmonies on Zoom. Here we are at the Eugene Garden Club this past November 6, 2022.

Cross Current’s return to the Atrium
We played at the Atrium Building again last month and most of the concert was captured in the Arts Journal #839. Video credit to Hedda…Thanks!
Here it is:
Cross Current videos from the Atrium
Yes we’re still playing! We recently played at the Atrium Building in Eugene. It’s a great space for music! Our good friend Rita Kiley took some pictures and videos.

Caldera Songwriters Benefit for Egan Warming Center with Cross Current
Cross Current was honored to once again be part of the 5th annual Caldera Songwriters Benefit for Egan Warming Center held at Tsunami Books on December 9th. The Egan Warming Center is a coalition of community members representing service providers, nonprofits, faith and social activists communities and local government who have come together since 2008 to ensure that homeless people have shelter during extreme cold weather. The Warming Center mission is simple: to ensure that homeless people in Lane County have a place to sleep indoors when temperatures drop to 30 degrees or below between November 15th and March 31st. The evening was a great success with both monetary and clothing donations all going to this great cause. Here are two songs that Cross Current performed that evening:
Rosana’s song Our Magnolia
Ken’s song Evergreen
Cross Current is will also be playing at the Thomas Egan Memorial ceremony on December 19th, 2016 at 1st and Blair in Eugene, where he died.
Cross Current supports the Healthy Climate Bill
Cross Current was proud to be asked to join and sing at the rally in Salem on the capitol steps in support of the Healthy Climate Bill.
Here’s a recap with some of the great speeches, songs and the march:
And a group photo. We’re in there! (Debbie and Marsha too!)
Back to the Wheel
Here are a couple of videos from last year by our wonderful friend Rita Kiley, “Back to the Wheel” from the We Shall Overcome concert and “Seven Devils Road” at the Seven Devils Brewery in Coos Bay. Enjoy!

Cross Current News January 2016
Friends— Happy New Year. 2015 was such an amazing year for Cross Current and it would never have happened without you. Your presence at our shows and your encouragement mean everything to us. Thanks so much to you all!
Highlights of last year included finishing what we are now calling “the first CD” and the wonderful release party so many of you shared with us. Rosana Costello joined the band, another highlight of the year, adding her rich sound to our music. We were honored to be part of many benefits, including the We Shall Overcome concert with the Low Tide Drifters. We owe special thanks to mentors and friends who have supported and helped us so much: to Brent Alan who coached and engineered us through the CD, and to the amazing musicians who added their talents to it. Also to Pete LaVelle, Dan Plaster, and KLCC radio, and Rockin’ Rome Hamel from KRVM for having us on air and sharing our tunes with their listeners; and to Beth Wood and Keith Greeninger for their ongoing mentorship and inspiration. Nathan and Kate and all the Drifters have also been our great friends and comrades on this musical journey. They all have our gratitude.
Now 2016 is beginning and a lot is already happening. Cara Brasted is joining us on fiddle as often as she can. We’ve got new songs and our new microphone Louise, and new gigs coming up. We hope you’ll join us at one of these next few shows. We’re looking forward to singing with you as much as we can this year.
Here’s the schedule for January:
Jan 9, Saturday, 5-7 Oakshire Public House 207 Madison St.
Jan 21, Thursday, 5-7 Sam Bonds Brewery 540 E. 8th
Jan 23, Saturday, 2:30 – 3:30, Lane County Fairgrounds, Good Earth Home Show
